The SASSYCLASSY design team created the first muslin blouse in 2020. The idea was to create a blouse with linen-like qualities that was as soft as possible to ensure a comfortable fit. The ultra-oversized blouse shirt – today's muslin blouse in white (long blouse) – was immediately very popular with you.

Fabric science: What makes muslin fabric so special?

The success of our blouse is also due to our premium muslin fabric. Muslin is a very light and fine cotton fabric that is widely used in textile manufacturing. This is no surprise, given that this supple fabric is a true all-rounder. Muslin is known above all for its lightness, softness, durability, and sustainability. Furthermore, the material is very easy to care for and clean.

The fabric is made from high-quality cotton, which is spun very finely and thinly to create a light and airy fabric. Muslin is also known for its breathability, which allows it to quickly absorb and release excess moisture. All of this makes muslin an ideal fabric for garments like our blouse that are worn in warm temperatures.

Depending on how you want to wear your blouse, the oversized blouse is available in two different lengths, each of which is only available in one size. Thanks to the many different styling options, an oversized muslin blouse fits sizes 34-48.

We recently added another size, which we labeled "curvy." This blouse has an even wider cut, so larger sizes can also wear it loosely and casually oversized.

Our design team is constantly improving and creating a host of new styles and finishes for our luxury blouses. Unless they are oversized, these blouses are offered in multiple sizes and produced according to our size chart.

Care and durability - tips for your muslin blouse

Washing tips

We recommend washing your muslin blouse in the washing machine at 30°C. It is possible to wash the blouse using the spin cycle. Use conventional detergents or color detergents to preserve the vibrant color of your blouse.

Ultimately, muslin gets softer with each wash and using fabric softener from time to time can improve your comfort.

Due to the 3-dimensional structure, bright colors may bleed slightly during the first few washes, which is why we recommend always washing muslin with colors that are as similar as possible.

Drying tips

Your new muslin blouse is made of 100% pure cotton, so it can be gently dehumidified in the dryer without any problems.

However, to ensure the longevity of the muslin fabric, air drying is the preferred method, as the fibers are not subjected to as much stress and shrink less.

Ideal blouse - no ironing required

Muslin has a grainy texture that doesn't need to be ironed, as this would remove the three-dimensional structure. We recommend hanging the blouses on wide hangers.
